Pick A MIX
MIXing with people from around the world makes it easier to accept our differences and embrace our similarities, leading to a more informed global society.
People use MIXs for lots of reasons: for entertainment, to share and absorb new skills & techniques, for networking, and to practice their foreign language skills, etc.
Regardless the inspiration for participation, MIX people understand they must leave preconceptions at the door. All MIXs are a maximum of 8 participants, plus the MIX Moderator.
Whether it's an activity the participant has never tried before, or it's the person's métier, everyone must agree to absorb as much as they share.
MIXs are not platforms to promote products or brands!
MIX Moderators are not teachers, they're the link between the travelers and local people.
Moderators facilitate a neutral space and fun activity for their participants to unite because of a shared interest.
MIX Liaisons initiate the MIX activity, encourages everyone's involvement, and help with language barriers.
The MIX Spot
Engaging people who come from diverse cultural backgrounds can be as intimidating as visiting a new country.
That's why all MIX activities are hosted in public spaces like cultural and social centers, parks, museums, colleges and universities.
MIXs can be hosted by for-profit environments, but never more than twice a month.
